NEWS REPORT Date: 06/03/09 BY: PETER ATOGEWE WEDAM, ISD-GAMBAGA Ghanaians have been called upon to reflect on the selfless efforts of the Country’s fore runners who fought and liberated Ghana from colonial bondage and subsequently think of what to do in their own individual ways to impact positively on the country’s growth. The East Mamprusi District Coordinating Director, Mr. Ivan Zinebom Gam made the call in a speech at Gambaga in the Northern Region to mark the 52nd celebration of Ghana’s independence. He noted that, the independence of Ghana was attained with some measure of difficulties. Many fought the white oppressors and some lost their lives in the process. Mr. Gam said, Ghanaians must therefore remain committed and dedicated to whatever duties that are given them at all times so that the gains made over the years are not lost but rather receive more boost.
