BONGO DCE LOSES OUT ON MP-BID TO NDC'S BAWA
The incumbent Member of Parliament [MP] for the Bongo Constituency in the Upper East Region, Hon. Edward Abambire Bawa, has retained the seat for yet another four-year term to represent the people of Bongo in Ghana’s Parliament. It will be indeed, his second term in the Ghanaian Legislature. Bongo DCE [1st] & Hon. Bawa [3rd] at Bongo Assembly Inauguration Jan,2020 Hon. Bawa came tops after gaining the highest number of valid votes cast beating some three other contestants. He polled 26,268 votes representing 58.50 per cent of valid votes cast whilst his closest contender, Bongo District Chief Executive [DCE], Hon. Peter Ayinbisa Ayamga, who was the New Patriotic Party’s [NPP] Parliamentary Candidate with 17,276 votes, indicating a percentage of 38.48. The other candidates were Hon. George A.
