SHEA BUTTER FACTORY TO BE CONSTRUCTED IN BONGO DISTRICT 31st OCT., 2019

A shea butter factory is earmarked to be constructed in the Bongo District of the Upper East Region, under President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s government’s flagship business intervention policy, One-District One-Factory [1D1F]. The 1D1F is a deliberate policy by the Government to trigger rapid growth of the local economy and also, create numerous employment opportunities for Ghanaians, especially the youth. Hon. Peter A. A stakeholders’ workshop to validate a baseline survey report on Water, Sanitation and Hygiene [WASH] which was conducted about five months ago is underway in Bolgatanga, capital of the Upper Eat Region. BONGO LORRY STATION TO GET A FACE LIFT & STORES 23rd OCTOBER, 2019

The Bongo main lorry station in the Bongo District of the Upper East Region is to receive a face lift with the tarring of its whole floor space with pavement blocks and the construction of 10 lockable stores in the premises. Since inauguration in 1991, the lorry station has not seen any renovation or expansion works. Bongo DCE, Hon. Ayinbisa [in middle in smock] presenting the plan for the project   Bongo District Chief Executive [DCE], Hon. Peter Ayinbisa Ayamga who handed over the site to the contractor, TECH 2 Ltd. this Wednesday morning, disclosed that the job was to be completed within six months and will cost the Assembly a total of 475,000.00 Ghana Cedis. He revealed that the project had been on the Assembly’s plans for a while and that, the initial plan was to construct a number of storey buildings at the station however, the cost presented by a consultant was pegged at about 4,800,000 million Ghana Cedis to involve a three-phase construction.  According to ...
