According
to Mr. Banu, the initiative and proposal that secured the donation from the
German NGO known as the Inter-NATIONAL CHILDREN Help e.V., all resulted from
the TEERE local Governance Forum [TLGF] which started in the Bongo District in
2016 and which later, spread to Pelungu in the Nabdam District and a regional
event in Bolgatanga, capital of the Upper East region. He revealed that,
officials from the German NGO certify that, their package to the Bongo District
Hospital through TEERE, was the biggest ever single donation of medical wares
and supplies it had done in years.
The coming in of these medical consumables and equipment falls in line the Government's resolve to adequately equip and retool some of the country's hospitals to enable meet the health needs of the citizenry in all parts of Ghana.
Having
safely offloaded and secured a safe-house for the items, officials of TEERE
say, they were now to meet management of the Bongo hospital and other vital
stakeholders to fix a date for the formal handing of the items.
