The Right to Information Commission has announced the commencement of Right to Information (RTI) Month 2026 which is an annual commemoration, dedicated to promoting the effective implementation of the Right to Information Act, 2019 (Act 989). As an integral component of its mandate under Act 989, the Commission observes the RTI Month each year to help deepen public awareness and understanding of the right of access to information. This fundamental right, it must be noted, enables every person to seek and receive information, subject only to the limitations prescribed by law. The Bolgatanga Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Roland Atanga Ayoo has stated that, issues relating to HIV/AIDS constitute a serious matter to the Bolgatanga Municipal Assembly and that, the Assembly will continue to collaborate with the Ghana Health Service and contribute in both financial and other forms, to help reduce the rate of infections in the Municipality.
