NCCE EMPOWERS CITIZENS TO ENHANCE SOCIAL AUDITING 24th FEBRUARY, 2026

Participants At The Engagement The Kassena-Nankana West District Office of the National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE), has engaged stakeholders at a social auditing committee meeting in Paga this Tuesday morning.   This is in tandem with the NCCE’s civic engagements on the Rule of Law and the fight against corruption under the Participation, Accountability and Integrity for a Resilient Democracy (PAIReD) Programme. It is geared at improving local governance, accountability and transparency. PAIReD is primarily funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ). It is co-financed by the European Union and the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO). DCE ENGAGES TRADITIONAL RULERS, YOUTH GROUPS ON IGF 17th FEBRUARY, 2026

The District Chief Executive [DCE] for the Kassena-Nankana West District in the Upper East Region, Hon. Stephen Aeke Akurugo has begun a seven-day stakeholders’ tour to all the seven paramount traditional areas in the district to hold discussions with the chiefs, their divisional chiefs and elders as well as interact with youth groups on the best possible collaborations that could soar the Internally Generated Fund [IGF] of the Assembly.   Hon. A day’s stakeholders’ refresher workshop on the Intersectoral Standard Operating   Procedure [ISSOP] to guide partner-state institutions/departments on the implementation of the UNICEF-sponsored programme; the Integrated Social Services Delivery [ISSD] Programme, has taken place this Thursday morning in Paga, capital of the Upper East Region’s Kassena-Nankana West District [KNWD].    Victoria Asuliwonnu, Dir.
