PAGA DISTRICT HOSPITAL EARNS TOP SPOT IN UPPER EAST RANKINGS 14th AUGUST, 2024

The Paga district hospital, located at the centre of the Kassena-Nankana West District is the reigning best district hospital in the Upper East Region, for the year 2023. The regional health authorities settled on the hospital after rigorous indicators and measurement tools were applied to similar hospitals across all the 15 administrative districts in the Upper East Region. NCCE HOLDS POLICE/COMMUNITY DIALOGUE IN KAJELO 3rd JULY, 2024

  A police-community dialogue session to help build trust and cooperation between the two parties has taken place in Kajelo in the Kassena-Nankana West District of the Upper East Region.   The dialogue meeting held this Wednesday afternoon at the Baloo Junior High School park, formed part of efforts by the National Commission for Civic Education [NCCE] in engaging communities nationwide in the prevention and containment of violent extremism.  A Section of The Community Members The intervention, dubbed Preventing And Containing Violent Extremism [PCVE] is under the sponsorship of the European Union and is being implemented by all metropolitan, municipal and district NCCE offices in Ghana. READING FESTIVAL HELD FOR BASIC SCHOOLS IN K/N WEST 26th JUNE, 2024

Basic schools from all circuits in the Kassena-Nankana West District of the Upper East Region this Wednesday, converged in Paga, the district’s capital, to battle it out for honours in a reading festival hosted by the district directorate of the Ghana Education Service (GES).   The Kassena-Nankana West District Chief Executive (DCE) Hon. Gerard Ataogye, has underscored the need for farmers in the district’s jurisdiction to be wary of the impact of climate change and to accordingly, adapt to the changes that come with it in order to enjoy the fruit of their labour.  Hon. STAKEHOLDERS RECEIVE ORIENTATION FOR ROLL OUT OF PFJ II 11th JUNE, 2024

  Stakeholders involved in the selection of beneficiary farmers, the distribution of farm inputs and the actual implementation of the Planting for Food and Jobs Phase Two (PFJ II) have been cautioned to eschew all forms of political tendencies in order for the intervention to make maximum impact and benefit Ghanaian farmers who are in real need of the subsidies for their trade.   The regional launch of a women’s voter mobilization project under the Political Accountability Activity funded by the United States Agency for International Development [USAID], has taken place in Navrongo in the Kassena-Nankana Municipality of the Upper East Region. Regional stakeholders and volunteers were also given orientation on the project, which will see several activities happen in all the 15 districts of the Upper East Region. INTER-PARTY DIALOGUE COMMITTEE INAUGURATED IN PAGA 9th MAY, 2024

A District Inter-Party Dialogue Committee [IPDC] under the auspices of the National Commission for Civic Education [NCCE], has been reconstituted and inaugurated this Thursday noon in Paga, capital of the Kassena-Nankana West District in the Upper East Region. The committee actually, already exists in the district but became dormant after the last general elections in 2020.
