 2,700 DRESSMAKING TRAINEES GRADUATE UNDER GYEEDA TRADES & VOCATIONS MODULE BY PETER ATOGEWE WEDAM                                                    November 30, 2012 AG.PRO-UE/RCC Last Friday, a total of 2,700 dressmaking and 998 hairdressing trainees in the Upper East region of Ghana graduated under the Trades and Vocations Module of the Ghana Youth Employment and Entrepreneurial Development Agency [GYEEDA] formally known as the National Youth Employment Programme. This module which is being implemented by GYEEDA in partnership with the Asongtaba Cottage Industry and Exchange Programme [ACI & EP] has already graduated several thousands of beneficiaries in the Ashanti, Eastern and Northern regions while other regions will soon experience similar interventions. M.E.S.T PRESENTS OVER 500 LAPTOPS TO STUDENTS BY PETER ATOGEWE WEDAM                                                              November 21, 2012 AG.PRO-UE/RCC The Deputy Minister for the ministry of Environment, Science and Technology, Dr. Mustapha Ahmed has stated that in today’s world where any kind of information can be accessed on the internet, it is proper that government assists Ghanaian students with Information and Communication Technology [ICT] equipment such as laptops to enhance their studies. The Deputy Minister made the statement at Bolgatanga in the Upper East region during a ceremony to present over 500 rlG-Better Ghana Agenda branded laptops to students from the Bolgatanga Polytechnic, St. John Boscos and Gbewaa Colleges of Education and the Navrongo campus of the University for Development Students among a few selected Senior High Schools. Dr. Ahmed who is also the current Member of Parliament for the Ayawaso East constituency noted that by government’s col
