WMH REDUCES MATERNAL DEATHS DRASTICALLY 29th June, 2019

The Kassena-Nankana Municipal hospital in Navrongo, widely known and called the War Memorial Hospital, has recorded an impressive achievement in the area of maternal mortalities. As of years 2015, 2016 through to 2017, up to about six maternal deaths were recorded per annum.   Hon. Paulina handing over the items to Dr. Majeed But the Medical Superintendent of the hospital, Dr. Majeed Alhassan disclosed over the weekend that, this worrying number had since been cut down drastically to only one recorded case as at end of 2018. The doctor made the disclosure during a visit by the Upper East Regional Minister, Hon. Paulina Patience Abayage to donate some assorted items including diapers, several cartons soft drinks, packs of toilet roll and detergents among others to the hospital’s Children’s Ward. Hon. MINISTER PRESENTS DUAL DESKS TO SCHOOLS ACROSS UPPER EAST 28TH JUNE, 2019

Upper East Regional Minister, Hon. Paulina Patience Abayage has given some life-blood to efforts geared at boosting teaching and learning in the region by presenting 200 pieces of dual desks to the Regional Directorate of the Ghana Education Service [GES] for onward distribution to schools across the region. The Desks ready for delivery   Hon. Abayage formally did the presentation at a brief ceremony at the Residency to the officers from the regional education directorate which was also witnessed by district directors of education. She said the presentation of the desks was her birthday gift to schools across the region, especially those that were in dire need of such educational logistics so as to help improve teaching and learning. REGIONAL MINISTER EXTENDS HELPING HAND TO THE NEEDY 26th June, 2019

There are many people in our world today, who will only wine and dine with their families, close associates and with people who can give something back but the Upper East Regional Minister, Hon. Paulina Patience Abayage isn’t part of the status quo. Hon. Paulina Abayage presenting the items to Magr. of the Home Hon. Abayage on Wednesday afternoon donated a package of assorted food items to the Mother of Mercy Babies’ Home in Sirigu in the Kassena-Nankana West District of the Upper East Region as a prelude to the celebration of her birthday that drops this Sunday, 30 th June, 2019. The items included four maxi-bags of rice, one bag of sugar, one box of frytol cooking oil comprising four gallons, five cartons of malta guinness, 10 bags of sachet water and 30 loafs of bread. INVEST IN YOUR CHILDREN’S EDUCATION – MINISTER ADVISES PARENTS 20th June, 2019

The Upper East Regional Minister, Hon. Paulina Patience Abayage has charged parents to do everything possible to educate their children, especially the girl-child stressing that “if you want your children to sit at the decision making table in the future, you must invest in their education”. GRCS PRESENTS WORKING TOOLS TO DISASTER VOLUNTEERS 17th June, 2019

The Upper East Regional branch of the Ghana Red Cross Society [GRCS] has presented assorted working tools to about 400 Disaster Risk Reduction volunteers from five communities in the Bongo District to enhance their efforts in mitigating the adverse effects of various forms of disasters. The Rescue Tools as displayed The Regional Manager of the GRCS Mr. Paul Woomah, who did the presentation in the Bongo-Soe community on Monday, mentioned the beneficiary communities as Azorsidaana, Asebre, Ania-Kunkua, Akebka and Atonobugoro. He disclosed that the presentation had come on the back of a successful training of the volunteers that was carried out in the latter parts of 2018 by his outfit in conjunction with the National Disaster Management Organisation [NADMO] and the Ghana National Fire Service.
