UPPER EAST COVID-19 TESTING CENTRE READY JULY 24, 2020

The Navrongo Health Research Centre [NHRC] located in the Kassena-Nankana Municipality of the Upper East Region, is set to commence testing of samples for the novel coronavirus.   Dr. Winfred Ofosu - Upper East RDHS Upper East Regional Director of Health Services, Dr. Winfred Ofosu disclosed this in an interview with journalists in Bolgatanga this Thursday.  “We have come a long way. Though we had the various equipment, one of the things that delayed us was the installation kits which the health research centre had to order from outside. The good news is that everything has been installed now,” he stated. CDD SHARES RESEARCH FINDINGS ON IPEP TRACKER PROJECT IN BONGO 20th JULY, 2020

The Ghana Centre for Democratic Development [CDD-Ghana], has held a constituency stakeholders’ engagement meeting with some selected constituents in the Bongo District of the Upper East Region to share its findings on a research it had conducted on government’s “One Million Dollar Per Constituency” policy.   Miss Mildred E. Adzraku, CDD Research Analyst doing her presentation The meeting, held this Monday in the district’s capital, Bongo had participants including the Bongo District Chief Executive and some departmental/unit heads of the Assembly, traditional leaders, executives of the Ghana Federation of Disability Organisations, Hon. RM TOURS VOTER REGISTRATION CENTRES IN BONGO & BOLGA CENTRAL 9th JULY, 2020

  The Upper East Regional Minister, Hon. Tangoba Abayage has extended her inspection visits of the ongoing voters’ registration exercise to some centres in Bongo Constituency in the Bongo District and Bolgatanga Central Constituency, in the Bolgatanga Municipality.     The day’s rounds began in the Bongo Constituency where the regional minister was led to the very first stop at the Anafobiisi Primary School registration centre which had recorded 377 registrants at about 13:05 GMT. The Minister and her team members had their temperatures monitored with a thermometre gun among other COVID-19 protocols before allowed into a marked area within which the exercise was taking place.  Hon.
