NAARA RURAL BANK EXCEEDS B.O.G CAPITAL REQUIREMENT 29th February, 2020

The Naara Rural Bank [NRB] Ltd., established in 1981 in Paga in the Kassena-Nankana West District of the Upper East Region, has exceeded the Bank of Ghana’s 1,000,000.00 Ghana Cedi Minimum Capital Requirement by a little over an extra one million Ghana Cedis. The Bank of Ghana is mandated under the Banks and Specialised Deposit-Taking Institutions Act - Act 930, 2016 to fix a minimum capital requirement at stipulated time frames for banks operating in the country.   Mr. Robert Simple Atiiru, the Board Chairman giving hid report   Board Chairman of the bank, Mr. Robert Simple Atiiru in his report at the 29 th Annual General Meeting held in Navrongo over the weekend, disclosed this enviable feat chalked by the bank. 2020 CENSUS C’TTEE INAUGURATED IN BONGO 20th February, 2020

A seven-member District Census Implementation Committee [DCIC] with the mandate to oversee the successful conduct of Ghana’s 2020 population and housing census [PHC], has been inaugurated in the Bongo District of the Upper East Region. Membership of the Committee comprised the District Coordinating Director, the District Planning Officer, District Information Officer and the Director for the Ghana Education Service. One of Ghana’s rap sensenations that orgainsers cannot bill shows and risk leaving out, Teflon Flexx has sent a passionate appeal to government to as   matter of urgency, establish a fund which will provide ready cash for musicians to invest their trade. Teflon Flexx who hails from Wiaga in the Upper East Region of Ghana with birth name, Christopher Akaateba, made the appeal in an interview last Friday on TV3’s flagship morning show, New Day as he featured on the segment dubbed “one on one with Teflon Flexx”. The rapper stressed that, the time had come for government to make such an intervention in the country’s music industry because to him, the nation stands to make huge financial gains from such a venture as taxes will be paid while interests, will also be computed on monies disbursed from the fund.
