Tangoba Abayage has stated that, her Region has had its fair share of development projects over the past three years under the Nana Addo administration and that, even more would come as government was not going to relent on its development and job creation agenda.   Hon. The Upper East Regional Minister Hon. Tangoba Abayage, has formally made public her intention and readiness to contest the Navrongo Central constituency primaries on the ticket of the ruling New Patriotic Party [NPP] against Ghana’s 2020 general elections come December this year. Hon. Tangoba Abayage, RM - UE at the Soiree Speaking at a press soiree organised by the Upper East Regional Coordinating Council and held at the Residency this Friday evening, Hon. Tangoba stated emphatically, “just this morning, I paid the required fees and duly picked nomination forms to contest our party’s primaries which will be in April 2020 and that is it”. BONGO ASSEMBLY INAUGURATED WITH 54 NEW MEMBERS 23rd Jan., 2020

The recomposed Bongo Assembly, resulting from the December 17, 2019 District Level Elections has been officially inaugurated at a colourful ceremony in the district’s capital, Bongo in the Upper East Region. Hon. Peter A. Ayinbisa, Bongo DCE giving his address In his welcome address to open the day’s proceedings, Bongo District Chief Executive [DCE], Hon. Peter Ayinbisa Ayamga made a pledge that under his administration, decisions taken by the Assembly will be promptly implemented so as to satisfy the development aspirations of the people. He urged the newly sworn-in Assembly Members to ready themselves for regular dialogue with Management of the Assembly as “the work of the District Assembly requires a great deal of collaboration between Assembly Members on one hand, and Management as well as Heads of Department on the other”. The Maltaaba Community Bank [MCB] which is an indigenous bank belonging to the people of the Bongo District in the Upper East Region, maintained consistent year-on-year growth in most of its key financial indicators by the close of the financial year ended 31 st December, 2018.
