The Upper East Regional Health Promotion Officer, Rexford King James Adjei has underscored the need for officers of the Information Services Department [ISD] to be armed with the appropriate information on the corona virus as they continue with their public awareness and education efforts in the national fight against further spread of the pandemic.   A Section of the Officers sitting far apart Mr. Adjei who addressed information officers from all the 15 municipal and district assemblies from across the Upper East Region as well as some other staff from the regional directorate of the ISD in Bolgatanga, said the need for massive and continuous public education on the virus was very critical in that, the country’s health delivery system would be overwhelmed with an astronomical rise in the cases. AUTHORITIES IN BONGO REFUTE COVID-19 SUSPICIONS 26th March, 2020

The authorities of Bongo District Health Directorate in the Upper East Region, the District Assembly and the Medical Director of the district’s hospital have jointly refuted rumours and suspicions that, the district had recorded two COVID-19 cases.   Hon. All the 15 Municipal and District Assemblies in the Upper East Region are to receive an average of 10 “Veronica Buckets” each including 10 pieces of jumbo disposable tissues, several boxes of hand sanitizers containing about 100 pieces and several quantities of liquid soap.
