MLGRD DIRECTS SPEEDY WORKS ON GPSNP PROJECTS IN BONGO 23rd APRIL, 2020

Ghana’s Deputy Minister at the Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development [MLGRD], Hon. Augustine Collins Ntim, is on a monitoring visit to some regions and selected beneficiary districts across the country which are enjoying varied projects under the Ghana Productive Safety Net Project [GPSNP]. BONGO D.A HANDS OVER PROJECT SITES UNDER 1-MILLION DOLLAR PER CONSTITUENCY 20th April, 2020

Authorities of the Bongo District Assembly in the Upper East Region have handed over five project sites among many others, to contractors for execution under the government’s flagship development policy known as the 1-Million US Dollars Per Constituency. Funds under this policy are transferred by the Ministry for Special Development Initiatives to the Northern Development Authority [NDA], for payments to contractors carefully selected for demand-driven projects across districts in the five northern-most regions of Ghana.  Bongo DCE - Hon. The Upper East Region’s first positive Corona Virus [COVID-19] case, a young pregnant woman in her thirties, has been formally put into quarantine at a holding facility within the Bolgatanga Regional Hospital and is being given the requisite health care.
