ISD SELLS GOV’T POLICIES

The Information Services Department [ISD] in the Upper East region has begun a seven-day public education campaign on government policies and programmes. The seven-day campaign will cover all the nine districts and municipal assemblies in the region.

Topics to be treated include the enhanced Capitation Grant, the National Youth Employment Programme and the Ghana School Feeding Programme. Peace, unity and National cohesion plus activities of the various assemblies will also be disseminated to the public.

Briefing field officers at the launch of the campaign, the Upper East Regional Information Officer, Mr. Nelson Mba Ayamga advised his officers against playing politics with issues of national interest. He also urged them not to argue with members of the public saying this may portray the ISD in a negative light.

Mr. Ayamga advised his officers to work in unity and coordination since their duties are interdependent and none can work efficiently without the others playing their respective roles well.

He said as information workers, they must be abreast with government policies at all times since members of the public can call on them at any time for information relating to the work of government.

The Regional Information Officer asked his staff to listen attentively to reactions that people may raise in the course of the campaign so that at the end, a comprehensive feedback report can be sent to government for appropriate adjustments to be made.

Mr. Mba also used the opportunity to call on all district information officers to submit their action work plan for 2010 before the end of November 2009.

MoGCSP & ISD TRAIN ISD OFFICERS FOR PUBLIC EDUCATION ON SWCES 15th FEBRUARY, 2024

A day’s training workshop for the roll out of a pending nation-wide public education and sensitization campaign on the Single Window Citizens Engagement Service [SWCES], has taken place in Tamale, the Northern Regional capital, this Thursday, February 15, 2024. The training workshop was organized by the Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection [MoGCSP] in collaboration with the Information Services Department [ISD]. OVER 10 PROJECT SITES HANDED OVER TO CONTRACTORS IN KWD UNDER SOCO 19th NOV., 2023

A number of sites earmarked for the construction of several projects ranging from market stalls, CHPS compounds, Culverts, mechanized boreholes to a butcher shop and more, have been handed over to contractors for execution across several communities in the Kassena-Nankana West District of the Upper East Region. Kassena-Nankana West District Chief Executive [DCE], Hon. Gerard Ataogye who led a team including his District Coordinating Director, Mr. Abubakari Amadu and other technical officers to hand over these sites to contractors, disclosed that all these projects fall under the SOCO Sub-Projects.
